Meat Monsters is genuinely concerned with our impact on the environment and our support of the local community.
We have built a model which ensures 100% of our takeaway packaging is compostable.
We have weekly collections arranged from the Tolbooth and our own HQ, taking Meat Monsters packaging and food waste for composting at New Deer.
We are also working hard to source our produce, services and supplies from companies as close to home as possible. Putting money back into the local economy and community.Find Out More
Authentic wood smoked BBQ
At Meat Monsters we use Fast Eddy smokers manufactured by Cookshack in the USA.
These award winning smokers are used regularly by competition teams on the American BBQ competition circuit.
They use wood pellets to generate the heat and smoke needed for authentic low and slow cooking.
It can take up to 36 hours to salt, rub and smoke our meat, it's the real deal, so we may sell out!Find Out More
Smoked with the best woods
Not all wood is created equal! We use a range of different wood in our smokers depending on what we are smoking.
Oak is a good all rounder, for pork a sweeter fruit wood mix with apple and cherry produces the best results. For beef we tend to use stronger woods like hickory.
We are working on an exciting project at present to source wood pellets from a new Scottish producer, from sustainably managed forests.Order Now
